Valve Function Options

5/2-Way Single-Solenoid Valve

A 5/2-way single-solenoid valve uses one electrical coil and a spring-return mechanism. When the coil is energized, the spool changes position. When power is removed, the spring returns the spool to its original position.
This configuration is suitable when the pneumatic cylinder must automatically return to a defined position after the electrical signal is removed.
Typical models include:
  • 4V110
  • 4V210
  • 4V310
  • 4V410

5/2-Way Double-Solenoid Valve

A double-solenoid valve uses two coils to shift the spool in opposite directions. After switching, the valve can remain in its last commanded position until the opposite coil is energized.
This configuration is useful when the system must maintain its last switching state after the control signal is removed.
Typical models include:
  • 4V120
  • 4V220
  • 4V320
  • 4V420
The two coils should not normally be energized simultaneously.
5/3-Way Double-Solenoid Valve
The 5/3-way version provides three spool positions and is suitable for pneumatic applications requiring a defined center condition.
Typical models include:
  • 4V130
  • 4V230
  • 4V330
  • 4V430
Available center configurations include:
  • Closed center: All ports are blocked in the center position.
  • Exhaust center: Cylinder ports are connected to exhaust in the center position.
  • Pressure center: Cylinder ports are supplied with pressure in the center position.
The correct center function should be selected according to the required actuator behavior and machine safety design.
Coil Voltage Options
The 4V Series can be supplied with several commonly used industrial voltages:
Voltage Code
Coil Voltage
A
AC220V
B
DC24V
C
AC110V
E
AC24V
F
DC12V
DC24V is commonly used in PLC-controlled automation systems, while AC110V and AC220V may be selected for equipment using AC control circuits. The coil voltage must match the machine’s power supply.
Applying an incorrect voltage may damage the coil or prevent reliable valve operation.
Thread Options
Different thread standards are available to match regional piping systems and customer requirements:
  • G thread: Parallel BSP thread commonly used in Europe, Asia, and many international industrial systems.
  • PT thread: Tapered BSP thread commonly used in pneumatic and hydraulic equipment in Asian markets.
  • NPT thread: Tapered thread commonly used in North American industrial systems.
Always confirm the required thread standard before ordering. Similar nominal sizes do not mean that G, PT, and NPT threads are interchangeable.
